IBEW 76 Federal Credit Union\u2019s goal is to make a difference for our members.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Since the beginning in 1957, we have strived to be more than just a place for your money. Providing affordable loans, generous savings programs and friendly, personal service, we have been able to make more of your hard-earned money.<\/p>\n

A credit union is a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative financial institution, which is owned and operated by its members. These members \u2013 who are united by a common bond of employment, association or community \u2013 democratically operate the credit union under state and federal regulation for the purpose of encouraging savings by offering a fair return. The combined investments are used to make loans at competitively low interest rates and to provide a variety of other financial services to members.<\/p>\n

Today, more than 9,000 member-owned, cooperative credit unions serve 70 million+ people in the United States and are consistently rated higher in customer satisfaction than any other type of financial institution.<\/p>\n

Our success can be attributed to the credit union philosophy of \u201cpeople helping people\u201d.<\/p>\n

We offer financial services for every stage of your life. From your child\u2019s first savings account to major purchases such as cars, boats, motor homes etc. We\u2019re dedicated to delivering consistent service to every member.<\/p>\n

Our Story<\/h2>\n

IBEW 76 Federal Credit Union<\/strong><\/em> was founded August 30, 1957 by a group of Local 76 Electricians, to serve the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 76 members and their families.<\/p>\n

Those seven founding Brothers were W.M. Gaffney, John W Thornton, Douglas W. Lane, Ronald Wells, Richard J. Bergman, Paul J. Keonitzer and Clyde H Hupp.<\/p>\n

With determination, belief and over 50 years passing, IBEW 76 Federal Credit Union<\/strong><\/em> has become and remains a vibrant and thriving institution. Here to serve many different union members and their families. The philosophy of “people helping people” was, and still is the intent that remains alive today.<\/p>\n
